I am about to embark on a dream-come-true journey. On Sunday I will be heading to the airport bright and early to catch a plane to New York, and from there I will fly to Johannesburg, South Africa.
This will be my first mission trip. I will be the official photographer for the global conference for FLAG. FLAG is a ministry to legal professionals around the world. The theme of the conference is Walking with Integrity and the theme is Psalm 15, one of my very favorite passages.
My passport has been empty for way too many years and I’m looking forward to getting my first stamp since 1986.
I will update this blog as often as I can. I am hoping to post at least a picture or two each night, so check back often.
I would appreciate your prayers. Over the next few days you can pray for my journey, that I have uneventful flights, that my bags arrive along with me, for health. Please also pray that I can sleep on the plane and get some good rest. I will arrive at 8 in the morning and am going to try to stay awake the entire day to help with the jet lag. And finally, the carry-on with my equipment weighs 33 lbs!! And the only muscle definition my body knows is the one I found in the dictionary. So please pray that I am able to get it transported without trouble or pain! Ironically, it weighs more than either of the bags I will be checking, but it does roll, so that should help.
Thank you for journeying with me. I’d love to know you visited my blog, so please leave a comment.
